59Decisions, options and luck
Life is full of choices, almost every instant we are bound to choose between two options. Sometimes more than two, but at least two. It can be anything, from what to wear, what to eat to what to feel and how to live your day.
I find myself vey often in this situation without realising it. The natural reaction is to feel trapped and sad about the situations life brings to us. For example, when I had no job I felt sad and desperated. I thought I had no luck and I was having so much trouble. Little by little I started to realise that my choices are always my best thing. I had the choice of how to feel about it. This might sound so trivial and superficial that I used to feel annoyed with people that tried to sell this idea to me before.
How the power of decide has to do with luck? well, it has to do a great deal with it. In fact, I think that luck is only two things positive decisions and selective memory, that's all. That is how people create good luck and bad luck around them. For example, if something good happens to you, if a stranger helps you during the day and you make the decision of thinking about that as a lucky thing, a great and positive thing and you remember this, you tell your friends how this great situation you had, you reinforce this positive feeling about it. You believe that you had good luck that day, you are creating your own luck. On the contrary, if something bad happens and you do the same thing, you make a big deal of it, you carry this negative feeling and you start to believe you had bad luck. People remember that about you and reinforce it.
It is such an strong feeling being reinforced not only by you but also socially, you are reminded constantly by it, even when you forgot about it. Adn this is how bad luck or good luck starts chasing you.
This power of decisions and luck goes with you in every aspect of your life, it goes with you to your job, in your relationships, in your finances. You even start projecting this feeling into these aspects of your life until the point you dont even realise about it!. Can you change it? yes, that is the good thing. It takes practice because you have always done that but you can change your habits. For example, start remembering and tell your friends about all the good things that happen to you during the day. Start with five simple things per day. You will get used to it. At the same time, start by not giving too much importance to the bad things, do not carry them with you. Just decide how to experience them. Find the positive side of it and keep that one!

- Tell 5 friends about these 5 things
- Try to find the positive side to the bad things and do not carry them with you (if they are really bad things, talk about them). Just the positive side of it.
- Always remember good things come by giving good things.
Try practicing these rules, and the first month you will notice a change. The quicker you get used to it the quicker the chain of good things will start coming to you. You get used to it when you dont remember the rules but you keep doing them naturally. It happens soon, you will see ;)
People will notice it as well. You will start projecting this feeling into others and the chain will start growing and extending around you. Good things come to you when you give good things.
