iPhone/iPod Touch Keyboard

When the iPod and iPhone were launched, the novelty of the features made a huge impact in the gadget world. The new interface, the way of interacting with this really nice piece of technology. With the internet, the ipod and iphone were not only a phone or a audio device, they were capable of exploiting the potential of internet. However, I have found myself not only checking a web page on my iPod Touch or only reading an email, but also trying to reply emails and writing documents on the go.

I know that the predictive text in the iPod or iPhone should work but sometimes it is frustrating that I can not type as fast as I could on a normal keyboard or that the little keys are too small and make mistakes while I try to type fast. So I thought an external portable keyboard for the ipod/iphone would be great to have!. This hub is about exactly that, external portable keyboards for iphone/ipod touch. Enjoy!

The Razer Pro Solutions ProType Multimedia Keyboard is notexactly what comes my mind when I think about portable but at least it seems quite usable. If you don't mind carrying around this type of keyboard, it seems a good option. You can find it in amazon for $99.

The built-in iPod dock is fully-functioning, in that it will allow you to sync and charge your iPod. It also sports a line-out for audio, two USB ports, and 10 customizable profiles and programmable keys for that one-button iPod sync.

In fact, I should mention that it takes a while but you actually can get used to the iphone keypad. Yes, it is quite small and you do make a lot of mistakes but the auto-correct text option does a decent job (there are cases in which it comes up with hilarious corrections).

I still think that the iphone 4 for example should include bluetooth so a portable keyboard would be an option for those who use the iphone to type text, notes or long emails.

What I have heard about external keyboards for iPods

I read recently that a way to solve this problem is simply buying a bluetooth gadget for my iPod touch and then get a bluetooth keyboard. It is not quite the solution yet but it is close.

Now I need to find out if there are external bluetooth keyboards that you can fold and how much is this bluetooth thingy for my iPod. Getting close...

UPDATE: I have not found a bluetooth keyboard than you can fold and take with you in your pocket as you can with your iPod or iPhone (that's kind of the point about it, isn't?).
